Martron Nickel Plating Process REF #002003 The Martron Nickel Plating Process is a heavy addition agent system for Bright Nickel Plating. It offers consistent quality performance with a minimum of in-plant control and is formulated for installations where preplate cleaning is less than optimum. Deposits are ductile, low stressed, and readily accept subsequent coatings of chrome. Additionally, this process offers multi-component flexibility for installations preferring this degree of control. Low current density performance is excellent, even from solutions contaminated with many metallic impurities such as copper and zinc. Thus, a variety of base metals, including zinc die castings, can be processed in the same operating solutions. Two addition agents, Martron Carrier and Martron Booster II are used to replenish the brightener components in an operating bath. Occasional separate additions of Martron air Wetter are also usually required. Performance is excellent over a very wide range of operating bath concentrations, temperatures, applications, and with either air or mechanical agitation. |
